Mossley parishioners up for the challenge

Parishioners in Mossley have been busy raising funds for their churches after their annual summer fair was cancelled due to the coronavirus situation.

They have set up a challenge called the Summer-12 - because it’s a 12 mile walk around the perimeter of the parish.

The Vicar of Mossley Father David Warner walked 12 miles with his dog Buddy, parishioner Charlotte Mellor hula-hooped for 12 minutes and Associate Priest Father Ian Brocklehurst (below) walked around St George’s churchyard 12 times.

Father Ian is also selling postcards with pictures of St John’s and St George’s Churches on them.

They cost £2.50 for a pack of 12.

Packs can be collected from the back of church.
