Tameside Sport & Physical Activity Network

Tameside Reporter and Tameside Radio are proud to be working in close connection with the Active Tameside Sport and Physical Activity Network.

If you're looking for a sport or activity group in the local area, they have all the information to help!

If you're a local group who need support with any aspect of development, then you can become an affiliate member of the network, which is free to all Tameside sports clubs and physical activity groups.

Here at the Tameside Reporter and Radio, we offer coverage to share the amazing news of these clubs.

Each month we focus on a different sport to highlight the heroes, clubs and facilities on offer in the wonderful borough of Tameside.

February 2023 - Rugby

This month we are taking an in-depth look into the sport of rugby.

Tameside is home to a variety of incredible rugby clubs, each offering sessions for various ages and skill levels.

Often viewed as male dominated, the sport of rugby has proven to be an incredible activity for women, and Aldwinians RUFC are inspiring females to take part.

You can read more on this here.

Dukinfield RUFC, Ashton under Lyne Rugby Football Club, Aldwinians RUFC and Aldwinians Ladies RUFC are all proud members of the Active Tameside Sport and Physical Activity Network.

Dukinfield RUFC are currently on the hunt for members to join their squad.

A family club with a thriving junior and senior section, Dukinfield cater for all ages and introduce children to a fantastic sport.
