WATCH: Football Fever Hits Tameside

The message is clear from school girls in Tameside - come on England!

The Lionesses, who ran out 8-0 winners against Norway on Monday night, are inspiring the next generation of female footballers and creating history in the process.

Currently gripped by Euro fever, primary school pupils across Tameside competed in their own version of the Euros at Curzon Ashton's Tameside Stadium.

It gave the participants a chance to compete in a 3 vs 3 environment, which is said to enhance ball control and technical ability amongst other things.

We spoke to Emma Toone, School Games Organiser at the Tameside School Sports Partnership, and Curzon Ashton's Faith Morton to get their views on the competition.
