Broadbottom CC vs Stalybridge CC

The home side won the toss and elected to bat first. There were boundaries aplenty as Broadbottom made 269-6 from a full 45 overs, with an impressive batting display from Captain Joe Brotherton on 75, Farhan Ghous on 65 and Noman Ghous on 51. In response, Stalybridge made 114 all out from 29 overs, with Danny Humphreys top scoring on 29. Broady’s Tayyeb Gul took 3-15 from 6 overs. Broadbottom won by 145 runs. [Broadbottom 20 points. Stalybridge 4 points]

Hayfield CC vs Dove Holes CC

The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first. Dove Holes made 167 all out from 38 overs, the top score going to the Extras (26). Hayfield bowlers Jack Cook took 4-21 and Aaron Ostilly took 4-46. In response, Hayfield could only make 89 all out from 27 overs, Calum Ramsay top scoring with 27 runs. Dove’s Dan Waterhouse was on fire with a marvellous ‘Michelle’ 5-11 off 6 overs, Dave Cartledge took 3-21. Dove Holes won by 78 runs. [Hayfield 5 points. Dove Holes 18 points]

Hazel Grove CC vs Tintwistle CC

Hazel Grove won the toss and elected to field, putting Tintwistle in to bat. Tintwistle made 149-9 from a full 45 overs, with Daniel Weston top scoring on a hard-earned 33 runs. There were 3 wickets apiece for Colm Nunn (3-36) and Charlie Higson (3-47). In response, Hazel Grove made 150-8 from 39.5 overs, Stuart Knott hitting 41 and Charlie Higson making 40 runs. There were 3 wickets for Daniel Weston (3-38). Hazel Grove won by 2 wickets. [Hazel Grove 18 points. Tintwistle 6 points]

New Mills CC vs Pott Shrigley CC

New Mills won the toss and elected to field. Pott Shrigley made 199-9 from a full 45 overs with Tom Fletcher making 68 and Ryan Anderson-Fitter 59. The weekend's second 'Michelle' went to Sam Kilner on 5-43 and Todd Hamlet made 4-42. In response, New Mills made 202-7 from 36.1 overs, largely down to Tom Hamlet who made a storming 119 not out. Bowlers James Bridgeford (3-22) and Chris Oake (3-63) took three wickets each. New Mills won by 3 wickets. [New Mills 19 points. Pott Shrigley 7 points]

Old Glossop CC vs Dinting CC

The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first. Dinting made 124 all out from 39.5 overs, with Thomas Pugh top scoring on 38 runs. The third 'Michelle' of the weekend went to Ellis Walsh with a triumphant 5-12 from just 4.5 overs, 3 of which were Maidens. In response, Old Glossop made 127-3 from 24.2 overs. Callan Kean top scored with 61 not out. Old Glossop won by 6 wickets. [Old Glossop 20 points. Dinting 2 points]

Whaley Bridge CC vs Newton CC

Newton won the toss and elected to bat first. Newton made 210 all out from 44.1 overs. Jonny Mercer top scored with 71 runs. Whaley’s Henry Holden took 4-38. In response, Whaley Bridge made 132 all out in 41.1 overs. Luke Schofield made 48 runs. Newton’s Cameron Barnard took 3-14. Newton won by 78 runs. [Newton 20 points. Whaley Bridge 7 points]
