Unveiling a new look for the Tour of Tameside 2023

Lighter nights indicate that brighter days are on their way, meaning so is the Tour of Tameside 2023.

If you’ve not already pencilled in your races for this summer, then look no further for an unforgettable community event.

For the first time, Quest Media Network will be delivering this magnificent festival of running.

Runners who complete each race will receive a commemorative medal, reflective of their chosen race. Those who are brave enough to take on all four days will earn themselves a finisher t-shirt and a special ‘Full Tour’ prize.

New for 2023, we are proud to reveal our fresh logo, t-shirt, and medal designs.

Centred around one of Tameside’s greatest runners, The Tour of Tameside is the brainchild of Olympian, Dr Ron Hill.

Ron’s legacy lives on throughout the event, whether that’s in the spirit of the runners or his name proudly representing the Dr Ron Hyde 7.

Our new logo also features a touching tribute to Ron. A silhouetted figure can be seen, depicting the talented man, and ensuring that he continues to be a key feature of the event.

The colours are also representative of the four separate races that athletes complete.

The X-Trail 10k, the Hell on the Fell, the Hero Half Marathon and the Dr Ron Hyde 7 are all incredible standalone achievements.

Combining these elements together creates a bespoke event, where runners take on over 30 miles in four days.

Both new medals and a new finisher t-shirt will be on offer as we continue to make the Tour of Tameside bigger and better than ever.

For 2023, prize money will be split 50/50 between runner and a selection of local health and wellbeing charities.

We will continue to provide updated coverage and news in print, online and on air as we approach the event.

The Tour of Tameside begins on Thursday (15 June) and commences on Sunday (18 June).
