Hyde Continue Assault On League Title

Following a rest at the weekend, Hyde United return to league action this evening and will be hoping to return to the top of the NPL Premier Division.

Under the guidance of manager Nick Spooner, the Tigers have been a force to be reckoned with this season and currently find themselves in second position ahead of tonight's encounter against Lancaster City at the Project Solar Stadium.

The Tigers have a pretty formidable home record, having won six, drawn one and lost two. A great balance between attacking threat and defensive stability has seen the club rewarded with 26 goals. The Tigers have conceded just 13 - the joint second lowest in the division.

Following his move from Ashton United over summer, striker Jack Redshaw has played his part in front of goal and hit the ground running. The former Morecambe player has found his efforts rewarded with a contract extension until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Tonight's visitors have struggled in the league this season and are currently languishing in 18th spot, having won just four times in 17 outings.

Mark Fell's enter the fixture disheartened from Saturday's FA Trophy defeat at Chester, which saw the Dolly Blues squander a one goal lead to lose 2-1 in the 90th minute.

Tonight's game kicks off at 7.45pm. £12 adults, £8 conc. 17-18 & Students, £6 U16, £1 U12
