Hadfield St Andrews Cricket Club to be sponsored by Specsavers

An opticians in Glossop is once again supporting a local cricket club by sponsoring the team kit.

The team at Specsavers on High Street West has been sponsoring Hadfield St Andrew’s Cricket Club since 2022. They have agreed to support the club for another season in memory of the club’s sponsorship secretary, umpire and loyal customer, Keith Clegg who sadly passed away last November.

The new season deal will see all the senior teams’ players take to the field in Specsavers branded cricket whites. To ensure they keep their eyes on the ball and future title wins, the players will also be visiting the store to have their eyes tested.

Store director, Paul Hodgson says , ‘We’re passionate about giving something back to our local community and our sponsorship of Hadfield St Andrew’s Cricket Club not only celebrates our shared love of the game but more importantly, our efforts to promote healthy living across the region.

‘On behalf of all our store colleagues , we want to wish the players every success for the new season!’ adds Specsavers store director, Nawaz Moin.

The club’s chairman Richard Ball adds: ‘We’re delighted that such a well-known brand, with such a recognisable strapline, is continuing to support the club. We’re confident that the deal will help to refocus the players and their eyesight for the new season ahead.’
