Campbell Hatton delivers first round knockout on Anthony Joshua undercard

Campbell with trainer Matthew and gym mate Luke.

Boxing icon Campbell Hatton needed less than two minutes to secure a victory on the Anthony Joshua versus Jermain Franklin undercard.

He wasted no time, and in doing so earned the quickest victory of his career.

Ducking under the ropes to enter the ring, Campbell looked incredibly composed, ready to go the distance in his first eight round fight.

However, as the bell rang for round one, it took 89 seconds for Campbell to knock his opponent to the canvas.

With a threatening blow that emulated the work of his father, Hatton’s punishing body shot sent Louis Fielding to his knees.

From here he was unable to return to his feet, calling for an early round one stoppage.

This stunning victory comes just three weeks after Campbell’s last win over Michel Gonxche.

Hatton went the distance with his Italian opponent in Liverpool, leaving his last six round fight with a beautiful win.

At just 22, Campbell has proven to have an incredible talent for boxing, which extends beyond his surname.

It’s been an exhilarating 2023 so far for the young athlete, who hopes to achieve a British title in the near future.

Speaking to Matchroom Boxing after the fight, Campbell referenced his trademark knockout shot.

“I’ve always been told that I throw that shot well, a chip off the old block some people say.

“I think I’ll have to start telling my dad that he throws a Campbell Hatton.

“We’ve been training for a long time, so to get two back-to-back fights was amazing. I don’t think I’ll ever get a turnaround that quick again.”

A dedicated, talented fighter, Campbell is quickly climbing through the ranks in British boxing, earning his place amongst the greats.
