Volunteers clock drivers' speed in Dinting

No drivers were caught speeding by volunteers carrying out the latest Speed Watch on a busy road in Dinting.

Four volunteers and PCSO Brian Buller were on Dinting Road from 2.30pm to 3.30pm on Thursday afternoon (30 March).

In total, 408 vehicles used the road during the hour and none were recorded driving in excess of the 40 miles per hour speed limit.

A spokesperson for Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "A big thank you from the team to all the courteous drivers and supportive residents in Glossopdale today.

"Remember, Speed Watch is a community-based, education-centred scheme that helps ordinary people make a significant contribution to improving the safety of our roads."
