Success for new High Peak Creative Network

A recently launched new group for creative people living in the High Peak has its first success story.

High Peak Creative Network meets on the first Friday of the month from 10.30am to midday at the Shrub Club in New Mills. It provides the opportunity for creative people in the area to meet up, share skills and socialise.

Jenny Goldbergsmith, a Mixed media artist based in Buxton, is pleased she joined after finding a new outlet for her cards and prints at Wiseheart and Wild in New Mills.

She said: "I was initially unsure about attending but 'seized the moment' and was very pleased I ignored my initial nervousness.

"What a great group, just what I needed after the creative lull of what I call the ‘Lockdrown’ years!"

The network was started by local musician Hannah Brine (pictured), who founded the High Peak Singers community choir earlier this year.

To join the mailing list, register interest and find out more, email hannah@hannahbrine.co.uk

The group will next meet on 4 November.
