Homeowners are being asked what support they would need for them to make their home more energy efficient.
A public consultation has been launched by Derbyshire County Council, together with the county’s eight district and borough councils - including High Peak.
DCC Leader Councillor Barry Lewis said there are some quick and easy things that can be done to reduce energy use, but bigger energy-efficiency projects take time, money and expertise.
“That’s why councils across Derbyshire are coming together to find out what support people need to reduce the amount of energy they use at home – which is better for their pocket and the environment.”
To take part in the consultation visit www.derbyshire.gov.uk/futurehomes. The closing date is Friday 20 January 2023.
Borough and district councils are already working on a programme to improve the energy efficiency of social housing and those in fuel poverty, which is why this project will focus on privately-owned housing.
