Huge crowds enjoy GlossFest

Massive crowds descended on GlossFest which basked in glorious weather throughout the bank holiday weekend in the heart of Glossop.

The music and beer festival started on Friday evening and ran throughout Saturday and Sunday.

There were fairground rides, a beer festival offering 20 local and regional beers and lots and lots of live music, all centred around Norfolk Square.

The event was organised by Glossop and District Round Table and Glossop Creative Trust with sponsors including Davis Blank Furness, Derbyshire County Council and High Peak Borough Council and Glossop Gasworks among others.

The beer festival supported local breweries High Peak Cider, Torrside Brewery New Mills, Intrepid Brewing Hope Valley, Buxton and three breweries close to the High Peak, Bradfield, Happy Valley and Thornbridge.

Glossop Roundtable Chairman Edward Siddall said: “We would like to thank all the sponsors, bands, volunteers and everyone who attended GlossFest 2023. It was an amazing weekend for everyone who attended. We would also like to thank Quest Media Network for the coverage of the event.”
