Fun dog show in Glossop to support Be Well's vital work

A fun dog show is being held to help raise funds to support the vital work of a community interest company in Glossop. 

It will take place on Sunday 9 July from 1pm to 4pm at Woof and Ready, based at Unit 8 on the Glossop Brook Industrial Estate on Surrey Street. 

There are categories for most handsome boy, loveliest lady, top junior handler, the pup most like their owner, waggiest tail, best paw shaker and best rescue. 

It's £5 per dog to enter on arrival up to three classes, and £2 for each class after that. 

The judge will be Scott Anderson from Mountain Miles and the winners will receive rosettes. 

Entry is £2 per adult on the door and children are free. 

There will also be trade stalls, a tombola, a cake sale, a big raffle and more. Most stalls will be cash only.

All proceeds will go to Be Well to support their intergenerational work. 

Be Well works across Glossopdale providing gentle exercise sessions at no or low cost, but has also branched out in recent years to work closely with local nurseries, schools, care homes and residential homes.

This involves breaking down barriers to build relationships between the younger and older generations, which has made a tangible difference to the lives of many local people both physically and mentally.
