Foodbank for pets set up in Glossop

A foodbank to help struggling pet owners had been set up in Glossop.

The aim of Glossop Pets Food Bank is to prevent anyone who may be considering giving up their companion from having to simply because they can’t afford to feed them.

Donated pet food is distributed at a weekly drop-in session held at Central Methodist, Chapel Street, on Wednesdays from 7.15pm to 8.15pm.

For anyone wanting to help donation bins are available at The Canine Outfitters (Hartley’s Garden Centre), Fox Pet Stores Glossop, Aldi UK Glossop, Woof & Ready, Ashdale Vets, Co-op Simmondley, Pico Lounge and The Grapes.

The group are also looking for storage facilities to keep the donated pet food.

If anyone has any space in their garage, shed or greenhouse that is dry, they would really appreciate the help.
