Caravan fire in Furness Vale

A fire has gutted a caravan in the High Peak.

Crews from Whaley Bridge and New Mills Fire Station were called to reports of the blaze in Furness Vale at around 00.45am on Wednesday morning (28 September). 

Whaley Bridge were first to arrive and began to fight the flames. They also requested the water carrier.

A crew from Chapel On Call Fire Station and the water carrier from Buxton Fire Station were then sent to the scene.

The incident took a total of 10 Breathing Apparatus wearers and 45mm Main Line Jet to bring the fire under control, stop further fire spread and to finally extinguish the fire.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
