Book shop owner creates bundles of books for schools with the help of local businesses

Owner of The Cosy Library Usborne Bookshop in Hadfield, Catherine Korol has been spending her time visiting local schools providing them with bundles of books with the hopes of improving children’s mental health and well being.

Catherine has been working with a number of local schools in the area to promote the love and benefits of reading, she explains:"Mental Health is incredibly important to look after and teaching children from an early age the foundations to talk about, and ask for help when needed, is so important. These packs have been put together with each age group in mind. I hope they help the children who get to use them to feel comfortable to talk about how they are feeling".

A total of six local businesses sponsored the schools and met with Catherine to give the bundles of books over. Below is a list of what businesses sponsored which school:

Heatherlea dance ltd - Hadfield Nursery

Centre Stage Academy of Dance - Philip Howard Secondary

The Little Beauty Retreat - St. Andrews Junior School

The Puppy Nanny and also Pixie Bakes Coffee Shop - Glossopdale Secondary

Glossop Gymnastics - Padfield Community Primary
