Bonfire and firework displays taking place in the High Peak

This weekend sees a host of community bonfires and firework events taking place across the High Peak. 

Friday 4 November 

Buxton Rugby Club Bonfire and Fireworks Display will see gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire lit at 7pm, before a firework display at 7.30pm. 

Entry is £5 per person, with family tickets £15 (2 Adults, 2 Children) £12. Pay on the gate – cash only. 

Saturday 5 November 

A great evening for all the family is promised at Glossop and District Round Table Fireworks Display on Saturday. 

Taking place at Manor Park from 4pm the event raises money for local good causes and charities. 

Entry on the night is £25 for a family ticket, £10 for an adult and £5 for a concession.

Tickets can be purchased at Roy Green’s Quality Family Butchers Glossop, Dark Peak Books & Gifts, Martins Manor stores and in Hadfield D&D newsagents and Millers store.  

They can also be booked online for a small booking fee at ticketsource.co.uk/glossop-roundtable.  

At the Cricket Ground in Whaley Bridge gates open at 5.30pm for the Whaley Bridge Community Bonfire and Fireworks, sponsored by the Town Council. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm with fireworks at 7.30pm.

Saturday will see New Mills Town Council hold the New Mills Community Bonfire & Fireworks Display at High Lea Park. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm and the fireworks will start at 7.30pm. 

In Dove Holes the Village Bonfire & Firework Display takes place at Dove Holes Community Association. 

The bonfire starts at 7pm, fireworks start at 7.30pm. Entry is £5 Adult, £3 Child £3 (under 18), £12 Family (2 Adults, 2 Children). Pay on the gate. facebook.com/DoveHolesCommunityAssociation  

Sunday 6 November 

Buxton Fireworks Spectacular at Buxton Cricket Ground on Sunday will see the gates open at 4pm. 

The event, which will include fire performers and aerial acts, and fairground rides, will see a children’s firework display at 5.40pm, and the main firework display at 7.20pm.

On the gate tickets will be Adult £8, Child £5 and a family ticket £23.
