Beauty evening in aid of High Peak charity

A popular beauty event raising crucial funds for hospice care in the High Peak is set to return this month.

The Clarins evening will take place on Thursday 20 October, at Blythe House Hospicecare on Eccles Fold in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

The event is organised by Vickie Poulson, who after working at the hospice for many years is a devoted supporter of Blythe House Hospicecare and Helen’s Trust.

Vickie’s parents, Lynne and Bill Wilson, were involved in the initial meeting to discuss fundraising for a local hospice, back when Blythe House was founded in 1989.

The family continued to support the charity throughout its history and in 2019 the hospice was able to provide specialist Hospice at Home support caring for Bill before he died.

Vickie said of the fundraising event: “It is only £10 per ticket and every single penny of the money raised goes towards providing free hospice care to people like Dad, who wish to stay in the comfort of their own home as they near the end of their life, surrounded by their beloved family.

“There is not a more worthy cause that I am immensely proud to support, and I hope to raise thousands of pounds to see Blythe House services continue long into the future."

Reserve your ticket in advance by visiting the hospice reception on Eccles Fold in Chapel-en-le-Frith, or by calling 01298 875 089.
