Only a win will suffice for Belle Vue when they welcome back Peterborough to the National Speedway Stadium on Monday, April 29 as they get their league campaign underway at home.

The Panthers currently sit on top of the Premiership table with 4 points after two matches, while the Rentruck Aces have yet to score after a disappointing night at Ipswich nearly a fortnight ago.

But their home record in Manchester is a solid one, with an emphatic victory against Peterborough and more recently Wolverhampton securing their spot in the Premiership Supporters’ Cup Final.

Knowing his side is powerful around the National Speedway Stadium, team boss Mark Lemon is confident they can continue in that vein of form as the Premiership comes to Manchester.

He said: “We had a few teething troubles at Ipswich but are lessons that we’ve quickly learned from. The boys are very strong at home and we only have to look at the first two meetings to see that.

“We’ve already faced Peterborough at home this season and we came through with a very solid performance throughout the entire team so I don’t see any reason why lightning can’t strike twice.

“They have some pretty experienced guys in their top five as well as down at reserve, but we are more than capable of matching them shot for shot so it should be a very exciting meeting.”

The Rentruck Aces kick on against the Panthers this Monday, April 29 in Manchester at 7:30pm. Tickets available online at www.bellevue-speedway.com and at the stadium on race night.

They then get ready to welcome reigning Premiership champions Poole to the National Speedway Stadium on Monday, May 6 at 12:00pm after a visit to Wimborne Road on may 2.
