Music and laughter at Mossley Christmas event

It was Christmas and a show at Mossley marketplace last weekend.

Live musicians, singers and musical theatre students took to the stage to give renditions of classic songs, warming the crowd by encouraging them to dance along.

Father Christmas, Mrs Claus and the elves spoke to the audience.

Lights were everywhere, from the glowsticks people held to the fairground rides as they whirred around and around. Mythical creature made of recycled items also stood guard over the event and fascinated families.

The Christmas lights officially switched on at 7.30pm and marked the start of the festive season in Mossley.
