Dukinfield fundraising heroes recognised by MP

MP Andrew Gwynne has awarded a group of Dukinfield fundraising heroes for their caring work.

He took time out to visit Florence Croce, her mum Jenny, Sean Delaney and Massimo Malacrino to present them with his Citizen’s Awards to recognise their incredible fundraising efforts.

Florence Croce has Late-Infantile Gangliosidosis, or GM1, a genetic disorder that progressively destroys the brain and spinal cord, slowly taking away her ability to walk, talk and swallow.

Since her diagnosis, Florence’s family and friends have been tirelessly raising funds so they can ensure Florence gets the best treatment possible.

Donations also contribute towards adaptations to Florence’s house so that she can stay with her family as long as possible and make memories with her brother Riccardo and their family.

Andrew Gwynne said: “Florence, Jenny and the whole team are so inspiring, they dedicate every single day to this fight and to make sure Florence can have the best life possible with as many opportunities as she can grasp.

“It was an honour to visit them at home and present them with Citizen’s Awards to recognise their untiring dedication to supporting Florence.”
