Audenshaw neighbours celebrate lottery win

Two people in Audenshaw are celebrating today (Wednesday) after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The Poland Street neighbours netted the windfall when M34 5TW was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People's Postcode Lottery.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wishes to the winners.

He said: "I’m thrilled for our winners today! What great news for them, I hope they enjoy their winnings."

It continues a line of successes for Tameside residents who have struck gold by entering.

On Easter Sunday, two dads from Droylsden each scooped a whopping £50,000

There has also been several wins in Audenshaw of late.

Last week, four people who live on Church Close each won £1,000. Just a fortnight ago, three other Audenshaw residents - on Saxon Drive - scooped a whopping £30,000 each.

Recently, 13 Mossley residents and another six living in Hyde also won £1,000 each.

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

The draw was promoted by Woodland Trust which has received over £13.1 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. It is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, owning over 1,000 different woods across the country. These woods support a wide range of plants and wildlife and attract thousands of visitors each year.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August.
