Curzon Ashton have announced that captain Jimmy Spencer has extended his stay at the club until 2025.

The experienced forward has made 66 appearances for the club since joining in 2023 and has been a big factor in Curzon’s on-field success over the past two seasons.

Craig Mahon’s side have already broken their record National League North points tally of 65 points set last season, with the club currently on 70 points for this campaign with three games to go.

Following his extension, Spencer said:

“It feels good, it’s a good club and from the minute I walked through the door it’s been nothing but positivity.

“I’ve really enjoyed my football here so it was a no-brainer for me really.”

Club chairman Wayne Salkeld also took to X (formerly Twitter) to show his delight at Jimmy’s decision to extend:

“This is tremendous news for the football club, he’s a great lad and person but most of all what a player.”

Following their 2-0 win over South Shields on Easter Monday, manager Craig Mahon labelled Spencer as "The best striker in the league".

This news should provide the club with some much-needed momentum as they continue their push for the play-offs, with The Nash currently sitting in sixth place ahead of a trip to fifth-placed Alfreton Town this weekend.
