Workshops held to teach residents about sustainable fashion

This Saturday (16 July) sees the first of two workshops being held in New Mills to help people reuse fast fashion garments.

The Workshops will be held at Providence URC Church, Mellor Road, New Mills on Saturday (16 July) from 10.30 am to 1pm and on Sunday (24 July) 2pm to 4.30pm.

Those taking part will be tutored by experts on sewing and embellishment. Materials will be available for those without a favourite garment to save, and no experience is necessary.

It has been organised by New Mills Fashion Week as they prepare for an Alternative Catwalk event in October. To find out more email newmillsfashionweek@gmail.com
