Specialist contractors will be carrying out further geotechnical survey work as landslip repairs continue on the A57 Snake Pass.
The major route between Manchester and Sheffield was first closed in February 2022 following a battering from two storms, with torrential rain leading to several sections of road to slip. The worst stretch saw the verge drop by two metres.
A further four-week closure between Doctors Gate and Hagg Farm was needed in the autumn so that specialist contractors working for Derbyshire County Council could carry out an investigation into the causes of the landslip at Alport.
Temporary traffic lights and a 20mph speed restriction at the location of all three landslips remain in place, as well as a vehicle weight limit of 7.5 tonnes.
When asked this week for an update by the Glossop Chronicle, a spokesperson for Derbyshire County Council said: "We asked consultants to carry out a specialist geotechnical survey last year, and we have had the results back from this.
"These results showed that we need to carry out a further piece of geotechnical survey work, which we have asked the consultants to do.
"We should have more news on the road later this year."
