Software engineering firm help Buxton Town Team give bridges a makeover

Buxton Town Team have been given a helping hand by the 14-strong team from HappyPorch.

The software engineering company has staff who work remotely across Europe and Africa. They chose to meet up in Buxton for training, development and company team building and wanted to volunteer their help.

Buxton Town Team (BTT) say they were delighted to arrange for the team, who represent 10 different nationalities, to lend a hand cleaning and painting bridges in the iconic Pavilion Gardens.

The Town Team is a volunteer organisation that spearheads a number of projects to help improve the town - including sustainable transport initiatives and work to look after various green spaces and parks.

Sarah Rawlinson, the project lead for BTT, said: “We were very pleased to work with the HappyPorch team and arrange a volunteering opportunity for them during their stay.”

Jana Pialkova from Happy Porch said: “It was a pleasure to work alongside the Buxton Town Team and we thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to contribute to the community by lending a helping hand in cleaning and painting a bridge within the iconic Pavilion Gardens.”

HappyPorch work with entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to refine and accelerate solutions to major issues such as climate change, global social inequality, and biodiversity loss.
