Plans for new homes in Old Glossop

Plans have been submitted for ten new homes to be built on vacant land on Bute Street in Old Glossop. 

The proposals are for one four-bedroom and one three-bedroom detached houses, six three-bed semi-detached properties and two two-bedroom semi-detached houses. 

If approved by High Peak Borough Council, the new homes would have driveways, providing off-street parking accessed off Bute Street. 

The site is opposite the junction with Kilmory Fold, and close to the old Shire Hill Hospital

  • Rear extension at Winterfell, Padfield Main Road, Hadfield, Glossop 
  • Demolition of existing conservatory and loft conversion at 23 Ridge Hill, Simmondley New Road, Simmondley, Glossop 
  • Cabinet based pole for CCTV at the Playground, Chapel Memorial Park, Rowton Grange Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith,  
  • Lower ground floor rear extension and ground floor terrace at 5 Tomwood Rise, Charlesworth,  
  • Single storey extensions at Hillcrest, Cote Lane, Hayfield 
  • Proposed garage conversion and additional parking space to the front at 4 Tarnside Fold, Simmondley, Glossop 
  • Single storey rear extension at 15, Church Street, Hadfield, Glossop 
  • Detached two-storey residential annex at 25 Ryecroft, Manor Park Road, Glossop,  
  • Proposed single storey rear and front extension at 82 Sunnyfields, Sheffield Road, Glossop 
  • Two storey side extension with attached garage at 3 Shallcross Road, Whaley Bridge 
  • Single storey side extension at Winterhill Farm, Padfield Main Road, Padfield, Glossop 
  • Replacement single storey rear extension and conversion of half of a double garage at 1 Stoneheads Rise, Whaley Bridge 

Plans approved 

Plans that have been given the go ahead and granted permission by High Peak Borough Council include: 

  • Proposed single storey rear extension at 2 Hampshire Close, Glossop 
  • Single storey extension to rear of 7 Hobhill Meadows, Glossop  
  • Change of use to light industry of Units 2 and 3 at Glossop Brook Business Park, Surrey Street, Glossop
