A free festival that brings together music and community will return to High Lea Park in New Mills next month.
This One World Festival is a one-of-a-kind day that sees up to 5,000 people gather to celebrate peace, the environment, cultural diversity, world development and of course, have fun!
During the event, there will be live music, exciting activities, panel discussions, and plenty of stalls for the whole family to enjoy.
There will be performances from Cheshire folk duo Nastee Chapel, punk-blues outfit Shake Rag, and the soulful groves of BBC Introducing’s ‘cream of the crop’, Bring Me The Hearts. Visitors will also be able to find out more than 20 groups across the area like Stand Up to Racism, Walkers are Welcome, Blythe House, ZINK, The Woodland Trust, Stockport For Peace, Moors for the Future, Working for Wildlife and Youth Matters.
The organising committee said: “We are thrilled to continue building on the festival’s success with this year’s unique offering and we are always grateful for extra sets of helping hands.”

The One World Festival, run by volunteers since 1990, will take place on Saturday 1 July from midday to 6pm at High Lea Park in New Mills.
