Can you lend a hand? Buxton Town Team are gearing up for this year's Very Big Spring Clean.
They want as many people as possible to get involved in the clean-up taking place on Saturday (15 April) between 10am and midday.
The clean-up campaign will get Buxton ready for the Coronation Weekend, the Spring Fair and the Festivals and Fringe, so that the town looks brighter and fresher for locals and visitors alike.
The Town Team can supply bin bags and litter picking equipment, spray cleaner (environmentally friendly), green scourers and some disposable gloves.
If anyone has scrubbing brushes, long handled mops and brooms, rags, wheelbarrows, buckets, spades, dustpan and brushes they are asked to bring them along. Water containers with clean water, (a 4-litre milk container would be ideal) are also wanted.
Don't worry if you don't have these items – as organisers say enthusiasm and a smile are very important too.
Anyone wanting to take part is asked to meet at Turner’s Memorial at 10am on Saturday, wearing suitable clothing and footwear as well as gardening-type gloves if they have them.
