Hadfield Infant School receives 'good' Ofsted report

Hadfield Infant School has received a ‘good’ Ofsted report.

The school on Mersey Bank Road in Hadfield was more than pleased with the results of its latest Ofsted report, after inspectors visited recently.

Francesca Dodd who has been the headteacher at Hadfield Infant School for only a few months, has managed to transform the school from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good’.

The inspection took place on November 7 and 8, when Francesca had only been in post for eight weeks.

She said: “I’m so proud of the school and especially the teachers because, even under a different kind of leadership, they took me under their wing and believed in the routes I wanted to go down.

“There is a real team spirit at the school right now where all the teachers, parents, and the community have come together."

One of the inspectors said that it was the most positive feedback from parents and teachers he has received.

Since Mrs Dodd’s arrival, she has introduced a new leadership team, a new website, a new communication platform with parents, and new security.

Even with the ‘good’ inspection, Mrs Dodd is looking forward to an even brighter future for the school.

“Strap in for the next few years because we are not stopping at good.

“At the end of the day, it does not matter what your grade is; it’s the experience the children have, and if we can give them an outstanding experience, that is what we want to do.”.
