Where are the latest lottery winners in Tameside?

No fewer than 19 people were celebrating over the weekend, after becoming £1,000 richer with the help of their lucky postcode. 

The neighbours netted the windfall when SK16 5GH in Dukinfield was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Sunday (9 August). 

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt (pictured) sent her well-wishes to the winners, saying: "What lovely news for our winners! Congratulations to them, I hope this surprise made their weekend." 

There have been a host of winners across Tameside so far this year. Last week, there was success in Droylsden - with winners on Dunkirk Street, Kershaw Street and Swinburne Avenue. 

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities, and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

The draw was promoted by Girlguiding, which has received over £5.8 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. Girlguiding is active in every part of the UK, giving girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities.
