Warning to Denton residents over break-ins and thefts

Police are warning people living in Denton to be vigilant after three men were sighted trying to find unlocked car and house doors.

Posting on their Facebook page, GMP Tameside South and West say that the three men are wearing masks and are checking areas in the early hours of the morning.

They reassured the community that the Neighbourhood Policing Team are doing everything they can to identify and arrest the trio.

They’re reminding residents to check front and back doors are locked, windows and closed and that sheds are secure.

Cars are also being targeted so advice is to make sure to lock the vehicle and remove all valuables.

If you spot anyone acting suspiciously, report it via 101 or on the GMP website. If a crime is being committed, call 999.
