Warm welcome for mini beasts in Dukinfield

Youngsters got up close to some mini beasts at an enjoyable educational event.

The fun session was organised by the Together Centre on Birch Lane in Dukinfield, which saw young adventurers and explorers helping out in the garden and also learning all about insects and invertebrates.

The free sessions take place every Saturday at the centre at Loxley House. 

The Together Centre is an innovative and inclusive charity which provides meaningful opportunities for local families and communities in Tameside and Greater Manchester.

Youngsters are also taking part in the national Big Garden Bird Watch 2022 at the centre.

Centre manager Leanne Bold said everyone is always welcome to join in the free sessions.

She said: “It was lovely to welcome old and new friends and we cannot wait to see you all again next week. 

“We took part in the Big Garden Bird Watch of 2022 by creating our very own bird feeders. 

“We then enjoyed themed crafting whilst keeping our eyes out for our little feathered friends - it was wonderful to see!
