Tameside schools have fun celebrating World Book Day

For World Book Day this year, schools in Victorious Academies Trust have been taking part in lots of activities to celebrate.

Pupils at schools dressed as their favourite characters and there were some amazing costumes!

At Yew Tree Primary School in Dukinfield, their Nursery class pupils made World Book Day badges and shared their books with their friends.

At Wild Bank Community School in Stalybridge, in Reception Class pupils’ costumes had the theme of author Julia Donaldson and in year 4 they made bookmarks.

At Greenside Primary School in Droylsden, their catering staff dressed up as characters from Alice in Wonderland and made themed cakes for their pupils.

At Inspire Academy in Ashton, their year 4 class pupils made book characters using wooden spoons and took part in the Masked Reader.

At Gamesley Primary School, pupils across the school took part in craft activities as well as dressing up as their favourite character.

At Pinfold Primary School in Hattersley, their school cook made a cake in the shape of a book, where one lucky class won the draw to share eating it.
