Shrek makes his way to Mossley

After being delayed from last year, Shrek The Musical finally arrives at the George Lawton Hall in Mossley for a week run, starting on 28 February.

The production, one of the most expensive produced by Mossley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society, is set to be a dramatic return to the stage for the group after the disruption caused by the pandemic.

The cast have been busy in rehearsal at Woodend Mill in Mossley and it looks like ticket holders are in for a treat.

With fantastic costumes and sets, this production includes all your favourite characters including The Gingerbread Man and imposing dragon created by No Eyed Theatre.

Shrek The Musical will be the first highlight of MAODS' very special 50th birthday year.

Out of 550 applications across the country, MAODS are one of only a few societies in the North West to have been awarded the rights to perform Shrek The Musical.
