Santa stops in at Ryecroft Hall in Audenshaw

Ryecroft Hall decked its halls last weekend, inviting local traders to set up shop for the day.

Lots of families turned out to support their independent businesses and find unique Christmas gifts.

Books, jewellery, and sweet treats lined the tables with hot drinks served to keep shoppers warm during the cold snap. The historic rooms were decorated with Christmas trees and tinsel to transform the interior into a Xmas adventure for everyone who stopped by.

Father Christmas stopped in to meet children at the hall accompanied by a fleet of glittering, gold reindeer and some helpful elves. He kept the magic of Christmas alive for youngsters, offering them a small gift.

Live entertainment included carols sung on stage by local children and performed in high spirits. When evening fell, Christmas lights were switched on to mark the start of the season.
