Rugby heroes honoured with prestigious trophy

Aldwinians Rugby Club's Christine and Ian Spivey have found their efforts rewarded with a prestigious honour at the Lancashire Annual Awards Dinner.

The pair won the Peter Atkinson Club Person of the Year Trophy.

The evening recognises the rugby achievements during the past season of individual players for the County and club awards for league and cup success.

For the County , Ian has been Chairman of Mini Junior Rugby (under 7’s to u16s)Committee for the last few years and is on the Club Competitions Committee .He is also Chair of the recently formed Lancashire County ADM Premier and 1st Division.

Christine is County Deputy Safeguarding Officer, a full role that she also fulfills at Aldwinians as well as being Mini Junior Section Secretary, a Trustee of the Charity that is Aldwinians RUFC and also its Secretary.
