More than 20 postal workers leant their support to the postal strike outside the Hyde sorting office on Friday morning (26 August).
They were raising awareness about their call for fair pay as the cost of living crisis bites.
More than 100,000 members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) are staging strike action across the country in the first of four planned days of industrial action today.
Other strikes are planned for August 31 and September 8 and 9.
Royal Mail has warned that letters will not be delivered on strike days and some parcels will be delayed.
Union Rep for the Hyde postal workers Mike James said: "This is essentially a dispute about pay - we worked throughout the pandemic and we have only been offered a two per cent pay rise while £400million has gone to shareholders. We think we are better value than that."
He thanked the public for their support and was pleased with the support too for the strike locally.
