A main road in Denton town centre has reopened following a major oil spillage.
The spillage, thought to be hydraulic fluid, had occurred outside the old NatWest bank near the taxi rank.
It's understood that a motorcyclist was injured after coming off his bike as a result of the oil spill - the cause of which is unknown at this stage.
One resident on social media said that the oil was "everywhere", while police described the area as "very slippery".
Manchester Road was closed at around 11am on Saturday morning (15 May) between Bowden Street and Stockport Road - from The Red Lion pub to Lidl - in both directions.
The fire service and Tameside Council had said that the affected section of the road was expected to be closed until at least midday on Sunday whilst the spillage is cleared.

The council said on Sunday evening at around 8pm that Manchester Road had reopened, but Victoria Street and Market Street remain closed for ongoing clean-up work.
