Parishioners are cooking up a new look kitchen at St George's Church in Stalybridge.
The popular Stalybridge place of worship is revamping the church kitchen, funded by a generous grant from the Big Local.
An electrical update has been completed and the kitchen will be amended to house new commercial appliances to enable further community use.
This includes supporting the setting up of ‘George’s Kitchen’ a community-run initiative to provide a delivery of a meal once a week to those who are isolated in the community.
If you would like to be involved in food preparation, administration or delivery you can get in touch with Rev Penny Warner or Margaret at the Big Local Hub on Ambleside, Stalybridge.
Training will be given, including food hygiene and DBS clearance where required.
Volunteers will be registered via Action Together who will process the paperwork.
