A primary school in Hyde has raised almost £4,000 for Willow Wood Hospice by taking part in a Bunny Hop.
The hospice provides specialist palliative care for patients across Tameside and Glossop with life-limiting illnesses - both cancer and non-cancer diagnosis - free of charge.
With Easter in mind, Willow Wood put a call out to schools, nurseries and organisations to participate in a sponsored Bunny Hop - to hop, skip, or jump around the playground or school hall, in order to support the hospice.
There has been a fantastic response to the challenge throughout the area, with Bradley Green Primary Academy in Newton among those who have got involved.
The school on Bradley Green Road managed to raise a fantastic £3,987.25 between families and staff.
Willow Wood's mascot Woody the bear paid the school a visit to say thank you.
The school said on Facebook: "We are not sure if we could be any more proud! A huge well done to all of our families and staff for raising such a phenomenal amount for an amazing local charity! Woody the Willow Wood bear visited school this afternoon to say a big thank you to everyone."
Willow Wood said in response: "Our Woody's been out again, meeting some wonderful children and their teachers at Bradley Green Primary Academy.
"He loved seeing you all and joins us in thanking everyone who supported the Bunny Hop - you raised the amazing amount of £3,987.25!
"Thank you again - we're so proud of our wonderful community who support us in so many ways."
