Help plant a tree for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in the Tame Valley

The Friends of the Tame Valley is inviting people to help plant trees to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this year.

The group has received some young saplings from conservation organisation City of Trees as part of the Queen's Green Canopy to plant in the Tame Valley.

The Friends of Tame Valley has identified a small part of Jet Amber Fields where these could be accommodated without impacting on other important natural habitats and has teamed up with Tameside Council's Greenspace Officers to help plant them.

The planting will be on Friday (25 February) and the group will be meeting at 10am at the Broomstair Road entrance to Jet Amber Fields.

The group is inviting people to join, with everyone welcome. Tools and advice will be provided.
