Haughton Green veterinary practice up for award

A veterinary practice in Haughton Green is celebrating after being nominated for a prestigious award.

The Manchester Vet Centre, on Tatton Road, is among 23 of Willows Veterinary Group's small animal practices which have been nominated for Practice of the Year at the Petplan Veterinary Awards 2021.

The ceremony is highly regarded as 'the Oscars' of the veterinary profession.

The nominations were made by pet owners who are clients of the practice, after they were invited by Petplan to tell them about veterinary practices who had delivered exceptional levels of care, outstanding expertise and gone above and beyond the call of duty.

This year, more than 13,000 nominations have been received across five categories in the Petplan Awards, which are organised to recognise the hard work and dedication of veterinary team members. The other categories are Vet of the Year, Vet Nurse of the Year, Practice Manager of the Year and Practice support Staff of the Year.

“It is fantastic that our practices have received these nominations,” said Bruce Waddell (pictured below), clinical director of the Willows Veterinary Group.

“I am immensely proud of the work our practice teams do to provide outstanding care for our patients and an excellent experience for clients. They will be delighted that the clients have made these nominations, especially after such a challenging year.”

The Petplan Veterinary Awards are judged by an independent panel of leading people from the veterinary world, and the winners will be announced later this year.
