Families welcome Father Christmas in Mossley

Father Christmas was given a warm welcome in Mossley.

The town’s community centre on Roughtown Road hosted Santa sessions for young families and they proved a huge hit.

Chris Frost, from Mossley Community Centre, said: “Santa was a great hit with the children on Sunday morning.

“More than 60 children met him in his grotto, there were lots of toys to play with and everyone got a lovely snack pot supplied by the elves.

“Santa also visited the Next Steps Group on Monday morning, singing with the children.

“He was also able to meet some very new babies at the Homestart group.

“Everyone who met Santa received a lovely book.

“The amazing grotto was created by our very own Mrs Christmas Angie Taylor.”
