Droylsden families are being invited to explore the town this half-term on a story 'treasure trail'.

‘Fairy Tales and Folklore of Droylsden’ and the ‘trail of tales’ have been organised by Tameside Council’s arts and events team to welcome back families and get them to re-engage with the town centre and all it offers, but most of all to provide a good time. 

Throughout this half-term week, you can try out the ‘trail of tales’ featuring original stories by schoolchildren from Moorside, Manchester Road and Greenside primaries. 

These tales are choc-a-bloc with heroes and heroines, wicked villains, sorcery and sword fights with their words brought to life with beautiful images created by Mossley arts organisation No Eyed Theatre. 

You can collect a trail map from the library and see if you can find all eight stories and their illustrations in the windows of Droylsden’s shops and businesses. 

On completing the trail, return to the library to collect your very own copies of all the stories and the accompanying illustration to take home your own story book.
