Dukinfield store to launch new charity initiative

Morrisons in Dukinfield.

Community champions at Dukinfield's Morrisons store are inviting everyone to join them on Valentine's Day as they launch a new charity initiative.

The store is launching a 'Butterfly Bonanza' on Monday (14 February) which will spearhead an initial two weeks of fundraising until 27 February.

The fundraiser is part of a nationwide initiative as Morrisons marks the launch of its partnership with ‘Together for Short Lives’.

The charity supports UK’s children’s hospices and families facing the heartbreak that their child will die young.

The Morrisons initiative will be raising vital funds for children’s hospices across the country, while all funds raised locally will be donated to Francis House Hospice.

The Dukinfield Morrisons Community Team are inviting people along to support their launch at 10.30am on Monday (14 February).

Becky Teeney, Community Champion, said: “We can’t wait to celebrate the launch of our new charity partnership and I know the Dukinfield community will pull together to help us.”
