Zen Tech Network Solutions Ltd made their latest donation of laptops to Millbrook Primary School in Stalybridge before the children broke up for the summer.
The donation was sponsored by Chip Gray, Managing Director and Co Owner of Olympic Press Ltd in Irlam
The total value of refurbished devices donated to Millbrook was £3,134.97.
That brings the total overall value of tech donated across Tameside and surrounding areas by Zen Tech to an incredible £55,000 following the launch of their campaign last year to support youngsters during lockdown.
Although the restrictions may now have been lifted, the big-hearted Dukinfield firm is continuing its campaign this summer to help young people when they return in the new school year.
Cerid Grimshaw, Business Development Director at Zen Tech explained: “We would like to appeal to the public again to think of us over the summer, to donate any old tech to us ready for children returning to school in September.”
She added: “We are passionate about helping and giving back to the local community and we are helping to reduce the digital divide in Tameside.
“Our aim is to help as many people as we can gain access to tech. If you have any old tech that is surplus to requirement and would like it to go to good use and help the Tameside community, then please contact us 0161 3593986 donations@zentecns.co.uk.
“You can also donate through GoFundMe go to our website www.zentecns.co.uk and click donate, this will fund the refurbishment of donated laptops to give to children. We want to thank all members of the public and businesses that have collected and donated to us throughout our appeal.
Zen Tech has also donated three laptops to the digital inclusion officer at Tameside Council for the use of young students that are struggling to access online learning from home.
Laptops have also been donated to Tameside East Foodbank.
Chris Truman at Tameside East foodbank, said: “We are very grateful for the donations of laptops from ZenTec Network Solutions.
“Last year we were able to offer devices to families to home school their children during the lockdown. This enabled them to keep up to date with all the at home schooling alongside those that already had computer access.
“The latest donation of three laptops will be used at our ‘Drop In’ which will shortly be re-opening.
“During the Pandemic, a lot of elderly people have been lonely and isolated. We initially aim to show them how to do simple emails to contact and stay connected with friends and family on a more regular basis that they have been unable to do previously.
Chris added: “Many thanks again, we are very grateful on behalf of all the people who have benefited.”

ZenTec Network Solutions Ltd. Is an IT support and solutions company based in Dukinfield, offering onsite and remote solutions to businesses, schools and people working from home. Based in The Old Courthouse, Chapel Street, Dukinfield, they are open to anyone that needs help with anything technical.
Cerid added: “The biggest issue at present that we are seeing is people struggling with their Wi-Fi connectivity at home and work, we can help with the latest boost technology and both indoor and outdoor solutions can be provided.
“We can also upgrade tech as prices to buy new are rising. Our aim is to recycle and refurbish tech to reduce the carbon footprint and do everything we can to help the environment.”
