Dukinfield's Together Centre is offering local groups a helping hand with projects from painting and decorating to gardening and landscaping.
Funds raised through the community enterprise Together Services will be ploughed back into the Birch Lane centre, a registered charity which runs a food bank, meal delivery service and a host of activities from armchair dancing to children’s craft sessions.
Trustees decided to establish a not for profit trading arm to make the charity financially sustainable and enhance its social, ethical and environmental offer in the local community.
Together Services can deliver grounds maintenance, site clearance, community garden and allotment projects and a range of handyman services.
The list of clients throughout Tameside and Greater Manchester includes housing associations, local authorities, schools, community venues and organisations.
