Donations appeal for 'Pensioners in Poland' mission

There is still time to help a couple's mission to Poland to assist Ukrainian refugees before it sets off this Easter.

We reported how Kevin and Ruth McCann will be marking their golden wedding anniversary year by delivering aid and staying in Poland to provide humanitarian help.

The Ashton couple, both in their 70s, are appealing for essential aid items like medicines, first aid kits, nappies and personal hygiene products to take out with them.

These, along with any monetary donations to help fund the trip, can be donated at The Church of the Nazarene, 230 Stamford Road Central, Ashton, between 6pm and 8pm on Fridays.

A van has already been donated to their mission, which they have entitled ‘Pensioners to Poland’ and the couple intend to depart on Easter Monday.
