Dangerous dogs seized and cannabis farm found in Mossley

Two dangerous dogs and 16 cannabis plants have been seized by police from a property in Mossley.

Officers discovered a 'small' cannabis farm at an address on Manchester Road, after investigating reports that a man had been bitten by a dog in October 2021.

At around 7.30am on Friday 28 January, police from GMP's Tameside East neighbourhood team arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of committing an offence under the Dangerous Dogs Act, criminal damage and the cultivation of cannabis.

He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries, police have confirmed.

A spokesperson for GMP's Tameside North and East team said: "This is an example of East Neighbourhood Policing team listening to the community and working with our partners from Tameside Council."
